Pwer Grid is a great game unto itself, and it is further enhanced by the expansion map playboards.

Really nice game, clever auction - biding mechanics. One of the few Euro games that makes player interaction more interactive! Not so heavy compared to other Euro games but it still is a game to make your mind work.

Fantastic game! Many interesting mechanisms interweaved into a highly competitive game. The resource market simulation is brilliant. This mechanism alone should be demonstrated in Economics classes. The game has auctions, money management, resource management, efficiency management, area control, area networking plus knowing when to hang back and when to trounce ahead are key strategies in this game. There is a lot going on in this game. It's not for new gamers, but after you've played Settlers of Catan or other medium weight Euro games, then you're probably ready to give Power Grid a try.
