I liked it from the beginning, much moreso than the newer releases (Europe, Marklin) with their added complexities. Taught it to a couple of "non-gamers" recently and now they're ready to purchase. It really is a great game for beginners.

This game should definitely be part of 101 Great Games. It is a very accessible game that plays in less than an hour.

Excellent family-style Eurogame. TtR, Carcassonne and Settlers of Catan are the three classic gateways into Eurogaming. Ticket to Ride is probably the simplest and most family friendly of the three. It's loads of fun and the various spin-offs are great too.

Quite simply, Ticket to Ride should be the one game in everyone's house instead of Monopoly. It's everything that a family board game should be: easy to learn, quick to play, and (most importantly) FUN.

Great game. A great many of my friends and family members have fallen in love with Ticket to Ride and bought their own copies.
